WELCOME MY FRIENDS
I never had in mind to have my Web site ! I thought it was something I wasn't able to do! As I
am a member of a Computing Forum for sometime now, once, I needed a gif signature to be able to use one I had to have a site
to log it, so a friend of mine used his Web site for my gif signature. This gave me the idea, maybe
I could have a site too! Not so easy to be done though !
Anyway, here I am, it's amazing ! I did try and it did work! With the help of the tools from Tripod.com,
patience, goodwill, and the drive to learn more, tell me who can't? This site will improve according to the
knowledge I will get with time.
Below, are some links which might be of interest to you:
On my Home page far right, is a lovely picture of Montmorency Fall located on a magnificient ground overlooking the
mighty Saint-Lawrence stretching away to the horizon, the green oasis of Ile d'Orléans and further right Quebec
city. I have to tell you that Ile d'Orléans is a small island of about 52 miles, a farming island, mostly potatoes,
apples and strawberries. Also there are beautiful historics farms and houses, summer homes and even some huge estates
for a few millionnaires!
Montmorency Fall is an enchanting domain, the awe-inspiring 272 feets falls higher than Niaraga Falls, are bordered
by trails and lookouts offering unforgettable vistas. And the views are equally stunning from every vantage point, the cable
car, the panoramic stairs or the suspension bridge.
Perched at the top of the rock basin carved out by the falls, on the site where former governor of Québec Sir Frederic
Haldimand built his ome in 1780, stands Manoir Montmorency, than bought by Lord Kent as a summer home, then, by the
Quebec Government. This elegant villa, which house an interpretation center and several boutiques is
a gourmet rendezvous and a favorite with area residents whom I am one of them !!!
The spectacular vistas from the viewpoints on the climb down or up if you're ready for the challenge, the
487 step panoramic stairs along the cliff near the falls.
In winter the park takes on a whole new look and special charm. Tale a stroll up to the base of the falls to admire
the Sugarloasf. Formed by frozen spray, this giant cone measures over 100 ft tall and is a favorite sport for sledding.
Close by, the ice wall that encloses the fall during the cold months tests the skillw oe even the best climbers. On the Home page
there are a few picture of the fall.
They say new ventures will be added this year.
